Christmas Sangria
What you need:
1 bottle red wine
1-1/2 cups orange juice
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup Brandy
1 lemon, sliced
2 nectarines or peaches pitted and cut into wedges
1 orange, sliced
1 lime, sliced
3 cups Seltzer or Club Soda
Ice cubes


How you make it:
1. In a 3 or 4 quart pitcher, combine wine, orange juice, Brandy, and sugar.
2. Stir until sugar dissolves.
3. Stir in fruit and cucumber.
4. Cover and refrigerate until well chilled, at least 3 hours or overnight.


To serve, stir Seltzer or Club soda into pitcher. Fill glasses with ice and pour Sangria overtop.


Egg Nog

What you'll need:
12 eggs separated
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups bourbon
1/2 cup brandy
6 cups milk
ground nutmeg
1 cup heavy whipping cream


How You Make It:
1. In large bowl with mixer at low speed, beat egg yolks with sugar.
2. At high speed, beat until thick and lemon colored, about 15 minutes, frequently scraping bowl.
3. Beat in bourbon and brandy, one tablespoon at a time to prevent curdling. Cover and chill.
4. About 20 minutes before serving, in chilled 5-6 qt. punch bowl, stir yolk mixture, milk and 1 1/4      teaspoons nutmeg.
5. In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat egg whites until soft peaks form.
6. In small bowl, using same beaters, beat cream until stiff peaks form.
7. With wire whisk, gently fold egg whites and cream into yolk mixture until just blended and serve.
